Copper has been a vital metal in all civilisations since the beginning of history. First, in the transition from the stone age to the age of metals; later, in the construction of the first scientific instruments and as a dynamo for the Industrial Revolution; and later still, in the development of electricity which began in the nineteenth century.
That is why the La Farga Foundation and La Farga Group have created the Copper Museum, in an old tower dating back to the early twentieth century next to the industrial installations of the La Farga Group.
A walkway enables visitors to see the production process involved in smelting and the semi-manufacturing processes for copper.
